Min-hwan is exposed, his takeover collapses, and Yeo-ri walks out of the hospital with both her company and her name intact. It is a clean, satisfying wrap for a show that spent twelve episodes juggling murder mystery, corporate scheming, and a genuinely charming love triangle.

The truck accident was not a random plot device either. It served as the culmination of the season’s central tension between protecting someone and actually being with them, since Yeo-ri spent episode 11 breaking up with Gang-uk specifically to keep him safe from the danger her curse and her enemies both represented.

What a Second Season Could Look Like If It Happens

If tvN does decide to move forward, a second season could follow Yeo-ri and Gang-uk as they investigate a new collection of ghostly cases, particularly if Yeo-ri retains her supernatural sensitivity in some form. That is speculation for now, since nothing has been confirmed.
