Stephen Merchant Joins the Fight in ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ Season 3 Preview

Stephen Merchant is joining the cast of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon for its third season, bringing a new dynamic to the series.

Merchant plays Julian, a character who will become part of the core group alongside fan favorites Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier, played by Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride.

Season three takes Daryl and Carol to Spain, leaving behind the characters they met in France. Along the way, they will encounter a number of new characters, including Merchant’s Julian. You can check out the character in the preview below courtesy of Collider.

While Stephen Merchant is best known for his work in comedy and as one of the creators of the UK version of The Office, he has also shown his action skills in films like Logan and Jojo Rabbit.

This mix of talent suggests Julian will bring both excitement and humor to the series. Merchant described his role as adding “a much-needed touch of laughter to Daryl and Carol’s next adventure.”

The third season also introduces other actors, including Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, Alexandra Masangkay, Candela Saitta, and Hugo Arbués, expanding the world and challenges Daryl and Carol will face. The series returns on September 7.
