‘Stranger Things’ Star Stuns Fans with Jaw-Dropping Physical Transformation
Eduardo Franco, the actor who captivated audiences as the pizza-delivering, long-haired Argyle in Stranger Things, has traded his Surfer Boy Pizza uniform for a shredded new physique.
The 31-year-old recently debuted a dramatic full-body transformation on Instagram, documenting an intense three-month training regimen that has left fans and co-stars alike in disbelief. Franco revealed that the catalyst for this fitness journey was a specific requirement for an upcoming film role he secured in July 2025.
According to Franco, the commitment to the gym was sparked the moment he read the script for his new project. The script’s first scene, where my character appears in, is in the very beginning of the movie and my character is shirtless. I said, ‘Well, I’d like to look as lean as possible for that scene,’ he shared in his video. Taking the initiative, he partnered with celebrity trainer Stephen Cheuk at S10 Training in New York to build a lean, athletic build from scratch.
What makes the transformation particularly impressive is that Franco had no prior experience with strength training before this project. He admitted to being a complete novice when he started the program, which focused on heavy lifting and conditioning. Stephen really did take care of me, it was super dope, the actor added, crediting the trainer for his rapid results. The video showing off his new abs quickly went viral, pulling in supportive comments from his Stranger Things family.
Finn Wolfhard reacted with a series of clapping emojis, while Caleb McLaughlin, who has undergone his own fitness journey for the show, responded with a more colorful exclamation of surprise.
In addition to his live-action work, the Arizona-born actor has a packed 2026 schedule dominated by high-profile animation. He is set to voice Daryl the capybara in Sony Pictures Animation’s sports comedy Goat, alongside a massive ensemble cast including Caleb McLaughlin, Jennifer Hudson, and Stephen Curry.
He will also provide the voice for Loaf in the Disney/Pixar film Hoppers, which follows a girl who “hops” her mind into a robotic beaver to infiltrate the animal kingdom.
Regardless of his status in Hawkins, Franco’s career is currently characterized by its immense range and a newfound dedication to physical preparation. From his early days in American Vandal and Booksmart to his current status as a lean, leading man in the making, he is proving he can handle much more than just a pizza delivery. Goat is scheduled to hit theaters on February 13, marking a major milestone in what is shaping up to be his biggest year yet.
