‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Star Morgan Kohan Teases ‘Big Fallout’ After Maggie’s Kiss With Ex Liam
Morgan Kohan is opening up about the major drama coming to Sullivan’s Crossing after Maggie and Liam shared an emotional kiss in season 4.
The kiss between Maggie (played by Kohan) and Liam (Marcus Rosner) happened in episode 6 of season 4, titled “Falling Through the Cracks.” In that moment, Liam rushes to help Maggie after she falls through a broken floor.
The situation becomes emotional as Maggie breaks down and questions Liam about why he left for a dangerous work trip that led to him being detained and tortured for over a year. The scene ends with the two sharing a passionate kiss, something Cal (Chad Michael Murray) does not know about yet.
Kohan says the moment will have serious consequences for everyone involved. She told PEOPLE, “There’s definitely going to be fallout from the kiss. We’re definitely going to see what that brings out for Maggie and Liam and everyone because, yeah, that was definitely huge, shakes things up for everybody. Yeah, big fallout, and then kind of seeing how people try and build back their life in a way.”
She explained that filming the scene was emotionally intense. Kohan said she felt pressure going into it because of how important the moment was for the story. However, she also shared that working with Marcus Rosner helped her get through it. She described him as a very supportive scene partner who helped create a safe space during filming.
Kohan said, “That one was definitely a bit of a doozy.” She added, “You see it on the page and you know what you want it to be and what the expectation is for what the scene is going to be and you want to be able to deliver that. I was definitely a bit stressed out, but I had a really supportive and trusting scene partner in Marcus. So when you’re given such a gift as that is, I dig into my own stuff, and I can be very vulnerable, and had someone kind of catches me on the other side. I think we both felt that.”
The love triangle between Maggie, Liam, and Cal is now more complicated than ever. Cal has not found out about the kiss yet, which adds even more tension to the story going forward. Fans are now left waiting to see how this secret will change relationships in the small town world of Sullivan’s Crossing.

Even with the drama building, Kohan reassured viewers who support Maggie and Cal as a couple. She said she understands the strong feelings fans have for the pairing and still believes in their connection.
She told PEOPLE, “I can tell them that I am also Team Cal and Maggie. I think there’s something so beautiful about the two of them and so meant to be. So I think just know that people are flawed and that life isn’t always black and white, but it’s OK to live in the gray area and we can hold out hope.”
She also added, “I mean, it’s Cal and Maggie. I think there’s something so magic between these two people. I think there’s always hope to be held out for.”
Sullivan’s Crossing continues to air on The CW, with new episodes bringing more emotional twists, relationship tension, and difficult choices for its main characters.
