Amanda Batula is officially leaving “Summer House” after the drama surrounding her controversial romance with former cast member West Wilson, according to a report from Variety.

The reality star, who has been part of the Bravo series since its first season, will not return for Season 11. Her exit comes after months of tension following her relationship with Wilson, a move that shocked many of her longtime friends on the show, including Ciara Miller and her estranged husband Kyle Cooke.

Batula’s romance with Wilson became one of the biggest storylines surrounding Season 10. The pair confirmed their relationship in March, but the announcement quickly created backlash among fans and caused major problems inside the “Summer House” group.

The situation became even more intense during the Season 10 reunion, where Batula and Wilson faced questions about their relationship. Many viewers felt they did not fully explain how their romance started, leading Bravo to add an extra episode called “Summer House: The Aftermath” to address the unanswered questions.

Bravo executive Noah Samton explained to Variety why the situation made returning to the show difficult. He said the cast dynamic on “Summer House” is different from other reality shows because the stars actually live together.

“‘Summer House’ is unique in the Bravoverse. If you have two Housewives who hate each other, and can’t get along, they can shoot a scene, and at the end of the day go home to their own house. On ‘Summer House,’ they actually live together. So if people have a real issue with each other, you can’t live together in a house. And we wouldn’t do that to the cast,” Samton said.

Unlike other Bravo shows, where cast members can separate after filming, “Summer House” requires everyone to share the same vacation home. Because of the conflict between Batula and other cast members, bringing her back was reportedly not realistic.

Season 11 is expected to continue with much of the current cast. Kyle Cooke, Ciara Miller, Carl Radke, and Lindsay Hubbard are among those expected to return. West Wilson will also not be back after his relationship with Batula became one of the most controversial moments in the show’s recent history.

Batula’s departure is a major change for the series. She first joined “Summer House” in 2016 and became one of its most recognizable faces. Her relationship with Cooke was a major part of the show for years, with viewers watching their engagement, wedding, and eventual split.

After her divorce from Cooke, many fans expected Batula to have a fresh start and possibly become one of the show’s central figures. Instead, her decision to date Wilson changed the direction of her storyline and left her future with Bravo uncertain.

There are still questions about whether Batula could appear in another Bravo project, including “In the City,” the possible spinoff featuring Cooke and Hubbard. However, Samton said any future reality show involving Batula would depend on whether she still fits into the friend group.

“I do think if you’re doing a show about a friend group, they do still need to be friends to an extent. So if there’s a world in which Amanda made sense with that cast — sure, that’s a possibility,” he said.

For now, Batula’s “Summer House” journey appears to be over, ending after a season filled with relationship drama, friendship conflicts, and one of the biggest controversies the show has seen.
