Sydney Sweeney is once again making headlines, and this time it’s for both her personal life and her words. The actress was recently seen walking arm-in-arm with music executive Scooter Braun during a relaxed outing in Brentwood, Los Angeles.

Photos of the two were shared by celebrity photographers and quickly picked up by entertainment outlets. The pair wore similar white tops and jeans and appeared comfortable together, adding fuel to dating talk that has followed them since late 2025.

The sighting comes not long after Sweeney opened up about her life in a new cover interview with Cosmopolitan. In the magazine, the 28-year-old actress spoke openly about love, independence, and how she handles public attention. She described what she looks for in a partner, saying, Athletic and outgoing and funny. She added, I’m a sporty girl, so someone needs to be able to climb a mountain with me, go skydiving with me.

Sweeney also made it clear that she does not define herself by relationships. Look, I am a boss in my life. I take control. I go after what I want, she told Cosmopolitan. I am confident, and I am successful, and I don’t actually need a man. At the same time, she admitted that dating is harder when fame is involved. It takes a very specific person who can handle the world that comes with me, she said, sharing that someone she once dated told her the attention was too much.

In the same interview, Sweeney spoke about ending her engagement to Jonathan Davino. The two were together for more than seven years before calling it quits in early 2025, shortly before their planned wedding. She explained why she kept that relationship mostly private. I think it’s important to have some things for myself, she said, adding that she spent years fully focused on building her career.

Now, Sweeney says she wants more out of life than just work. For all of my 20s, I put my head down and focused on work—and now I want to experience things, she shared. That shift has played out in public, whether she planned it or not. After her breakup, rumors briefly linked her to her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell, but those faded once she began appearing publicly with Braun, including around the time of the Bezos-Sanchez wedding in June.

Sweeney also addressed the backlash she faced last year over her American Eagle ad campaign. The controversy led to some online critics labeling her a “hateful person,” something she directly mentioned in Cosmopolitan. She said staying silent made things worse. Not responding widened the divide, she explained. Since then, she has stayed busy, focusing on her acting work and her lingerie brand, SYRN.

Professionally, Sweeney shows no signs of slowing down. She is currently working on the next season of Euphoria, and upcoming films including Barbarella and The Housemaid’s Secret. Even with constant attention from fans and tabloids, she says she is still trying to hold on to a normal version of herself.

With a new relationship in the spotlight and several major projects on the way, Sydney Sweeney continues to balance fame, ambition, and personal growth in full public view.
