99 Nights in the Forest (Film)

20th Century Studios is developing a live-action film adaptation of “99 Nights in the Forest,” the hit Roblox survival-horror game, marking the studio’s first feature based on a Roblox title. Josh Cooley, the Oscar-nominated writer of “Inside Out” and director of “Transformers One,” has been hired to write the script, with horror legend Sam Raimi and his longtime producing partner Rob Tapert attached as producers. The game, in which players survive 99 nights in a haunted forest while rescuing lost children from menacing creatures, has become the seventh-most-played title ever on Roblox with nearly 26 billion lifetime visits.
