Artificial (Film)

‘Artificial’ is an upcoming biographical comedy-drama directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Simon Rich, focusing on Sam Altman’s controversial firing and return as OpenAI CEO in 2023. The film stars Andrew Garfield as Altman, alongside Monica Barbaro, Yura Borisov, Ike Barinholtz, Cooper Hoffman, Jason Schwartzman, Mark Rylance and others. Produced by Guadagnino, Rich, David Heyman and others, the movie began filming in July 2025 in San Francisco and Turin, Italy, before wrapping production in October.
