Back to the Future (Franchise)
‘Back to the Future’ is a sci-fi trilogy directed by Robert Zemeckis that follows teenager Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and his friend Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd), who invents a nuclear-powered time machine built into a DeLorean. The first film arrived in 1985, ‘Part II’ followed in 1989 and sent them from 1985 to 2015, and ‘Part III’ closed the trilogy in 1990 with a western set in 1885 where Doc falls in love with Clara Clayton (Mary Steenburgen). The franchise also spawned an animated series that ran on CBS from 1991 to 1993, and the trilogy remains one of the most popular time-travel movie series ever made.
