Beetlejuice (Franchise)
The ‘Beetlejuice’ franchise began with Tim Burton’s 1988 gothic comedy and returned with the 2024 sequel ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,’ which reunited Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara and opened to an estimated $145 million worldwide. It also includes an animated series, which ran from 1989 to 1991, and a Broadway musical that premiered in 2018. A third film is uncertain: Burton has said he has no current plans for one, and sequel writers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar say O’Hara’s death in January makes it harder.
