Big Little Lies (TV series)

Big Little Lies is an American psychological dark comedy-drama series based on Liane Moriarty’s 2014 novel, created by David E. Kelley and aired on HBO for two seasons from 2017 to 2019. It follows five women in Monterey, California—played by Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Zoë Kravitz—whose lives become entangled in a homicide investigation, with Meryl Streep joining the cast in Season 2. The critically acclaimed series won numerous awards, including eight Primetime Emmys for its first season, and a third season was confirmed in September 2025.
