Crawl (Franchise)

Crawl is a 2019 natural horror film directed by Alexandre Aja about a father and daughter trapped in their home during a Category 5 hurricane, where they are attacked by alligators in the floodwaters. The film stars Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper, and it was both a critical and commercial success after its release by Paramount Pictures in 2019. It was praised for its tension, direction, and visual effects, and it earned strong box office returns on a relatively small budget.

Because of its success, a sequel to Crawl was officially greenlit by Paramount in 2024. The follow-up is currently in development, though details about the story and cast have not yet been confirmed.
