Dept. Q is a British crime thriller series created by Scott Frank and Chandni Lakhani, based on the Department Q novels by Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen. The series follows detective Carl Morck, who returns to police work after surviving a deadly shooting that leaves his partner James Hardy paralyzed and another officer dead. Struggling with trauma and an uncomfortable reputation among his colleagues, Carl is assigned to lead a new department focused on solving difficult cases. The series premiered on Netflix in May 2025 and was renewed for a second season later that year.
