Dungeon Crawler Carl (Franchise)

Dungeon Crawler Carl is a science-fantasy LitRPG series by Matt Dinniman that follows Carl and his ex-girlfriend’s cat, Princess Donut, as they are forced to compete in a deadly intergalactic reality-show dungeon crawl. Originally self-published online, the series has grown into a major bestseller, with its first eight books selling more than 14 million copies as of July 2026. The franchise is now expanding beyond books, with a Peacock television adaptation greenlit alongside planned graphic novels, audio projects, a card game, and a tabletop RPG.
