Elden Ring (Franchise)

Elden Ring is a 2022 action role-playing game directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, with worldbuilding by George R. R. Martin. Developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, it is set in the vast world of the Lands Between, where players journey to repair the Elden Ring and become Elden Lord.

The game features an open world, third-person combat, exploration, stealth, magic, and both solo and multiplayer gameplay, including co-op boss fights and PvP. It became a massive critical and commercial success, winning multiple Game of the Year awards and selling over 30 million copies, making it one of the best-selling games ever.

Its expansion “Shadow of the Erdtree” and spin-off “Elden Ring Nightreign” continued its success, and a live-action film adaptation is currently in development.
