George Lucas (filmmaker)

George Lucas is an influential American filmmaker, entrepreneur, and philanthropist best known for creating the *Star Wars* and *Indiana Jones* franchises and founding Lucasfilm, Industrial Light & Magic, LucasArts, and THX. After early success with *American Graffiti*, Lucas revolutionized Hollywood with *Star Wars*, later directing its prequel trilogy and producing numerous films and television projects. Beyond filmmaking, he has devoted significant resources to education and the arts, including the George Lucas Educational Foundation and the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.
