Highlander is a fantasy franchise created by Gregory Widen that began with the 1986 film starring Christopher Lambert as Connor MacLeod, an immortal Scottish warrior. The series expanded into multiple movies, TV shows, animated projects, novels, comics, and merchandise, exploring different immortals connected by the mysterious Quickening. Its most successful TV adaptation, *Highlander: The Series* (1992–1998), followed Duncan MacLeod, another immortal from the MacLeod clan, and introduced popular characters like Amanda and Methos.
