Miami Vice ’85 (Film)

‘Miami Vice ’85’ is Joseph Kosinski’s big-screen reimagining of the classic 1980s TV series, starring Austin Butler and Michael B. Jordan as detectives James Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, with John Leguizamo recently joining as the film’s villain, reportedly a cartel boss. Inspired by the original show’s pilot episode, the film explores the glamour and corruption of mid-1980s Miami and also stars Alden Ehrenreich, Whitney Peak, Camila Morrone, and Danny Ramirez. Shot for IMAX with production beginning this fall in New York and Miami, the Universal Pictures release is set to hit theaters on May 19, 2028.
