Never After Dark (Film)
“Never After Dark” is a Japanese-language supernatural horror film directed by Dave Boyle, following Airi (Moeka Hosshe’s faced before, and hi), a wandering medium who helps restless spirits move on, accompanied by the ghost of her dead sister Miku (Kurumi Inagaki). When summoned to an isolated country house to perform an exorcism, Airi confronts a grotesque entity unlike anything digging into the house’s dark past reveals she’s being hunted by a threat that may not be supernatural at all. The film has earned a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score and glowing praise from horror icons Stephen King (“amazing and haunting”) and Scott Derrickson (“intelligent, unpredictable and bone-chilling”), ahead of its September 25 theatrical release.
