Power Rangers (Franchise)

Power Rangers is an American superhero media franchise that began with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in 1993 and became a major pop-culture and merchandising success.
The television series adapts footage and characters from Japan’s *Super Sentai* while adding original Western stories, and the franchise has expanded into films, comics, novels, and video games.
Hasbro acquired the franchise in 2018, and despite its commercial success and plans for a reboot, *Power Rangers* has continued to face challenges finding a new direction for live-action television.
