Spartacus (Franchise)

‘Spartacus’ is an American historical drama series created by Steven S. DeKnight that aired on Starz from 2010 to 2013, following the life and rebellion of the famous Thracian gladiator Spartacus against the Roman Republic. The show explored Spartacus’ early life and rise as a revolutionary figure, with seasons including ‘Blood and Sand,’ ‘Vengeance,’ and ‘War of the Damned,’ along with the prequel miniseries ‘Gods of the Arena.’ After actor Andy Whitfield’s health issues, Liam McIntyre took over the lead role, and the franchise later expanded with the alternate timeline sequel series ‘Spartacus: House of Ashur’ in 2025.
