Tenzing (film)

Tenzing is an upcoming biographical drama directed by Jennifer Peedom and written by Luke Davies, starring Genden Phuntsok as Tenzing Norgay, Tom Hiddleston as Edmund Hillary, and Willem Dafoe as John Hunt. The film follows the historic 1953 Everest expedition and aims to center Tenzing’s story, with Peedom bringing experience from her acclaimed documentary *Sherpa*. Originally developed at Netflix and Higher Ground Productions, the film is produced by See-Saw Films and executive produced by Tenzing’s eldest son, Norbu Tenzing, alongside Simon Gillis and David Michôd.
