‘Tommy Karate’ is a crime thriller starring Pete Davidson as real-life Bonanno crime family enforcer Tommy Pitera, based on Philip Carlo’s true crime book ‘The Butcher: Anatomy of a Mafia Psychopath.’ Directed by Justin Chon from a script he co-wrote with Davidson and Joseph Gay, the film follows Pitera’s violent reign and the years-long DEA investigation that led to his 1992 capture, with Paul Walter Hauser playing lead investigator Jim Hunt alongside co-stars Camila Mendes and Simon Rex. Davidson has undergone a dramatic physical transformation for the role, trading his signature buzzed haircut for a long dark wig and blue contacts, with the film currently slated for a 2027 release.
