Ridley Scott’s upcoming ‘Treasure Island’ is a reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic pirate adventure novel, with a script written by Jack Thorne, the Emmy-winning writer behind ‘Adolescence.’ Hugh Jackman stars as the iconic Long John Silver, with Scott also eyeing Hugh Grant and ‘Adolescence’ breakout Owen Cooper, likely for the role of young Jim Hawkins. Scott says he’s already halfway through the film using detailed storyboards, with production set to begin shooting on November 1.
