Tenoch Huerta Shares Disappointing News Regarding Many Characters in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of the biggest Marvel movies yet, with an enormous cast that brings together heroes from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The upcoming film is produced by Marvel Studios and AGBO, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, and written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely. It’s the fifth Avengers movie and the 39th film in the MCU, following Avengers: Endgame.
The film will feature an incredible and massive lineup, including Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Tom Hiddleston, Robert Downey Jr., Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and many more.
In Avengers: Doomsday, the Avengers, the Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers, and the X-Men all team up to face Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr.
Tenoch Huerta, who plays Namor and first appeared in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, recently shared an update about the film that might disappoint some fans.
He explained that with so many characters, each hero’s role will be smaller than usual. “There are like twenty-something characters involved in the story… It’s more condensed since they have to give space to all the characters and the different universes,” Huerta said.
Namor hasn’t been seen since Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and this will be his return to the MCU.
Avengers: Doomsday takes place fourteen months after the events of Thunderbolts, and it promises a massive crossover event where multiple teams and universes collide.
With so many heroes in one movie, it’s understandable that some characters won’t get as much screen time. It will be interesting to see how Marvel balances all these storylines and still gives fans satisfying moments. What do you think about smaller roles for some Avengers characters?
