Azriél Patricia Crews, daughter of actor Terry Crews, is speaking out about a disturbing experience she had with a well-known actor when she was just 16. The 35-year-old actress shared her story in a two-part video on Instagram on January 23, giving fans a glimpse into what she describes as a “creepy” encounter at a wedding.

Azriél said she first met the actor during a pre-wedding event, where her parents introduced her. “My mom introduced me to him as her 16-year-old, so he was very well aware of my age and he was friendly at first and I was a fan of his work so I was actually really excited to meet him. At first,” she recalled.

But things quickly took a turn at the ceremony. Despite unassigned seating, the actor chose to sit right next to her. “We arrived at the ceremony and we found some seats which were unassigned but then, as if on cue, creepy actor slides into the seat next to me and he says, ‘Funny meeting you here,’” Azriél explained. She said it immediately felt wrong.

The discomfort continued at the reception. Azriél was seated at a table with her parents, but the actor managed to sit next to her again. “Suddenly I feel a hand caress the back of my arm and so I turn to him and he’s smiling at me creepily and he says, ‘Are you enjoying yourself?’” she said.

When she answered politely, he escalated. “He goes, ‘Well, don’t act too civilized,’” Azriél remembered. That’s when she realized the actor’s knee was pressing against hers under the table, and she told her mother she needed to step away to the restroom to escape.

Azriél has followed her father’s footsteps in the entertainment world, playing Cricket on the CW series Katy Keene. Growing up on the reality show The Family Crews, she has often talked about the challenges of being a young woman in Hollywood.

Her father, Terry Crews, continues to work actively in Hollywood. He is set to appear in PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, releasing on July 31, and recently starred in the action-comedy The Killer’s Game. He also hosts America’s Got Talent and remains a vocal advocate for abuse survivors and mental health. His wife, Rebecca King-Crews, is also active in entertainment, often collaborating with Terry.

The Crews family has always supported each other publicly, and Azriél’s story highlights the unwanted advances young women can face in celebrity circles. While she did not name the actor involved, her post has struck a chord with many who have faced similar situations.

“My mom introduced me to him as her 16-year-old, so he was very well aware of my age and he was friendly at first and I was a fan of his work so I was actually really excited to meet him. At first,” Azriél said.

Fans are now reflecting on her story, and many are wondering if more children of celebrities will speak up about uncomfortable experiences in Hollywood events.
