The Full-Color Trailer for ‘Spider‑Noir’ Just Dropped
Amazon has shared new details about Spider-Noir and released two trailers to show how the series will look. According to Amazon, the show will come in two versions. One version will be in color, and the other will be in what the company calls “authentic black and white” to match the style of old noir movies the series is inspired by.

The story is based on Spider-Man Noir, a darker version of Spider-Man from Marvel comics. The character first appeared in a 2009 comic created by David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, Carmine Di Giandomenico, and Marko Djurdjević.
Many viewers know the character from the movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, where he was voiced by Nicolas Cage. Cage returns for the series, but this time the hero is not Peter Parker. The main character is Ben Reilly, a private investigator living in 1930s New York. He steps back into being the city’s only superhero after a personal tragedy.

The cast includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson. Guest appearances come from Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.
The series will first air on May 25 on MGM+ before all eight episodes arrive worldwide on Prime Video on May 27. Sony Pictures Television is producing the show. It was developed for television by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, with producers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal also involved.
Harry Bradbeer directed the first two episodes. He previously worked on Fleabag and Killing Eve.
