‘The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas’ Gets a New Trailer Starring Cindy Lou Who
Dr. Seuss’ grumpy green icon has become a reliable seasonal fixture across movies, games and merchandise alike, with each new project promising a fresh spin on his ongoing redemption arc. The Grinch’s video game presence picked up steam back in 2023, and now a sequel is bringing his story full circle just in time for another holiday season.
Developed by Outright Games in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, ‘The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas’ first revealed its gameplay a couple of weeks ago, showing off a 3D platforming adventure built around four distinct worlds spanning 23 levels, from the snowy slopes of Mt. Crumpit to the festive streets of Who-ville. That trailer introduced the game’s core hook: the reformed Grinch, alongside his loyal dog Max, setting out to build Who-ville’s most spectacular Christmas tree instead of stealing the holiday altogether.
Now a new exclusive trailer is putting the spotlight on a different character entirely. The clip centers on Cindy Lou Who, giving players their first proper look at how she factors into the Grinch’s redemption story this time around, serving in what’s described as a “helper” role throughout the adventure.

The trailer also reveals a few additional details beyond Cindy Lou’s introduction, including confirmation that players will be encouraged to replay levels in search of collectible ornaments scattered throughout the game’s worlds. It also showcases some of the Grinch’s gadgets in action and introduces Cindy Lou’s Wish Mailbox, an interactive element players can engage with directly as part of the experience.
Beyond Cindy Lou’s role, the broader gameplay trailer released earlier this month showed off the Grinch’s growing arsenal of inventive tools, designed to help players overcome obstacles and uncover hidden secrets scattered throughout each level. Rocket Skates let players speed through stages, a Jetpack helps them soar over hazards, and a Snowball Maker can freeze troublesome enemies in their tracks, giving the game a varied toolkit built for younger audiences to enjoy alongside more seasoned platformer fans.

The game’s timing lines up neatly with renewed interest in the Grinch character more broadly, arriving ahead of Jim Carrey’s anticipated return to the role in a future movie sequel.
