‘The Morning Show’ Season 4 Teaser Released: Aniston & Witherspoon Face Off with Twisted Reflections
“The Morning Show” is coming back for Season 4, and things are about to get even messier. The Apple TV+ series is known for diving into real-life events, and this time it looks like artificial intelligence, deepfakes, and conspiracy theories are taking center stage. The new season will premiere on September 17.
The show’s official logline says the newsroom is now facing “newfound responsibility, hidden motives and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America.” With the UBA and NBN networks now merged, there’s more pressure than ever. The teaser also makes it clear: in a world full of lies and digital tricks, it’s getting harder to know what’s real and what’s not.
Alex, played by Jennifer Aniston, kicks off the teaser with a serious voiceover: “We have to question everything that we see and we hear now more than ever.” She’s shown walking past windows, and so is Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley. At first, it’s just their reflections. Then things get weird. Other characters’ reflections start to show up in the glass, hinting that everyone’s hiding something.
Chip (Mark Duplass), who lost his job as Alex’s producer last season, pops up and says in voiceover, “I need some dirt. Something I can trade?” He’s clearly trying to find a way back in. Then Cory (Billy Crudup), the ever-dramatic UBA boss, shows up next to Bradley and says, “It’s always nice when you can get someone to do your dirty work for you, right?” As usual, Cory seems to be playing his own game.
Paul (Jon Hamm), the tech billionaire Alex dumped in Season 3, also returns and delivers a sharp line: “You wanna run this place? You have to really, really want it.” And Stella (Greta Lee), the no-nonsense head of the news division, follows with: “Do you know what I had to do to get here?” Things clearly aren’t calm behind the scenes.
There’s also a new podcaster character, Brodie, played by Boyd Holbrook, who doesn’t sugarcoat things. He says, “This place isn’t warm and fuzzy. It’s a snake pit.” Karen Pittman, who plays Mia, isn’t holding back either. She tells someone, “When you got this job, you said you were gonna do it differently, and here you are.”
Another new character this season is Celine, played by Marion Cotillard. She seems to be a power player, and she makes it clear how she operates: “I like to know who’s an ally and who’s a liability.”
The teaser ends with Alex and Bradley walking toward each other while a man says, “It sounds like the drama at the network is juicier than the drama on the network.” The final message on the screen? Face your truth.
Season 4 will also bring back Nicole Beharie and Nestor Carbonell. New cast members include Jeremy Irons, Aaron Pierre, and William Jackson Harper.
This info comes from Apple TV+ and was shared in the latest teaser and press release. The show is executive produced by Charlotte Stoudt, Mimi Leder, Michael Ellenberg, Lindsey Springer, Jennifer Aniston, Kristin Hahn, Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Zander Lehmann, and Micah Schraft.
