Netflix is bringing back The Night Agent for a third season, and fans won’t have to wait long.

The streamer has announced that the new season will premiere on February 19, 2026. This return comes a little over a year after the second season, a faster turnaround compared to the nearly two-year wait between the first and second seasons.

Gabriel Basso returns as Peter Sutherland, the show’s main character. Netflix also released a short teaser and some new photos, giving fans a first look at the upcoming season. The story for season three centers on Peter tracking a Treasury agent who escaped to Istanbul with secret government information after killing his boss.

“Night Agent Peter Sutherland is called in to track down a young Treasury agent who fled to Istanbul with sensitive government intel after killing his boss. This kicks off a sequence of events where Peter investigates a dark money network while avoiding its paid assassins, while putting him on a collision course with a relentless journalist. Working together, they uncover buried secrets and old grudges that threaten to bring the government to its knees – and get them both killed in the process,” the logline reads.

The new season will feature returning cast members like Louis Herthum, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Albert Jones, Ward Horton, and Amanda Warren. New faces joining the series include Stephen Moyer, Callum Vinson, David Lyons, Jennifer Morrison, and Genesis Rodriguez. The show is produced by Sony Pictures TV.

Shawn Ryan, the series creator, is also serving as showrunner and executive producer. Other executive producers include Marney Hochman, Seth Gordon, Julia Gunn, James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, Nicole Tossou, David Beaubaire, Munis Rashid, Paul Bernard, Guy Ferland, and Seth Fisher.

Several directors worked on season three, including Guy Ferland, Adam Arkin, Paris Barclay, Hiromi Kamata, and Billy Gierhart, each directing two episodes. Writers for the new season include Munis Rashid, Anayat Fakhraie, Seth Fisher, Eileen Myers, Corey Deshon, Imogen Browder, Andres Smith, and Aiyana White.

Overall, Netflix is giving fans plenty to look forward to with this next season. The combination of returning characters and new faces, along with high-stakes missions, promises an exciting continuation of the story.
