Netflix just dropped the trailer for the third season of The Night Agent, giving fans their first real look at what’s coming next for FBI agent Peter Sutherland. According to Netflix, the new season will premiere worldwide on February 19, so the wait for the full story won’t be long.

This season promises even more danger and suspense. In Season 2, Peter had to stop a spy from detonating a bomb in Manhattan. Now, his mission is personal and deadly. He is chasing a Treasury Agent who killed a boss and fled the country with sensitive government information. On top of that, Peter has to navigate a dangerous world of dark money while avoiding assassins at every turn.

The action heats up when Peter crosses paths with a determined reporter. The official plot description says, “Working together, they uncover buried secrets and old grudges that threaten to bring the government to its knees – and get them both killed in the process.” It sounds like teamwork will be as crucial as survival in this new season.

Gabriel Basso returns as Peter Sutherland, joined by many familiar faces. The cast for Season 3 includes Louis Herthum, Stephen Moyer, Callum Vinson, and David Lyons. Fans will also see Fola Evans-Akingbola, Jennifer Morrison, Albert Jones, Ward Horton, and Genesis Rodriguez.

Since its debut on Netflix in 2023, The Night Agent has been a huge hit. It is based on Matthew Quirk’s 2019 political thriller novel. Season 2 was particularly successful, topping Netflix’s Top 10 list and earning 13.9 million views in just its first four days, according to Variety.

The series is created and run by Shawn Ryan, who is also known for hits like The Shield and S.W.A.T.. Ryan serves as an executive producer on Season 3 alongside Marney Hochman, Seth Gordon, Julia Gunn, James Vanderbilt, and several others.

Fans of political thrillers and high-stakes action are in for a treat this February, as Peter Sutherland faces assassins, secrets, and more danger than ever before.
