‘The Odyssey’ Star Charlize Theron (51) Goes All White for a Beachside Night Out in Venice
Beachside parties call for a certain kind of dressing, and Charlize Theron‘s all-white look landed in the sweet spot between relaxed and polished. It came at one of the week’s most talked-about openings on the Southern California coast. The details, from the knitwear to the handbag, say a lot about how the actress approaches off-duty style.
Veuve Clicquot transformed 619 Ocean Front Walk into Club Solaire, a two-story space for its three-day Venice Beach activation, with long communal tables dressed with flowers and candles, sculptural pendant lights and flashes of the brand’s signature yellow. The pop-up runs from Oct. 2 to Oct. 4 and offers six ticketed experiences. It is the house’s latest Solaire concept in Los Angeles, following the 2022 exhibition on Rodeo Drive that marked its 250th anniversary.

The opening party took place on Thursday, and Theron was among the guests. Her outfit was relaxed and modern, built around a knit sweater and a flowing, layered skirt with ruffles at the hem. She wore an oversize ivory Hermès knit with a long cream skirt and white Bottega Veneta lace-up shoes, and carried a blue Hermès Cargo Birkin.

She added a stack of silver bracelets and wore her short blonde hair pushed back, with waves framing her face. The sweater ends around the upper hip with a wide ribbed band, while the skirt falls in soft tiers with translucent sections near the hem. The contrast between the chunky knit and the lighter fabric is the main fashion idea.
The navy handbag is the only major dark element, and small stud earrings keep the beauty styling restrained. It is a look that relies on texture and proportion rather than loud accessories.
Theron stopped to pose for a photo with musician Este Haim, who DJed at the event, and the two shared a hug. The pair posed in front of the DJ booth, where Haim played a mix of throwbacks and hits, with her parents among the crowd. Guests that night included Grace Van Patten and True Whitaker, also in beachy whites and creams, along with Christina Hendricks and Ashley Madekwe.
Theron also spoke about the evening itself. “I love having a reason to come down to Venice,” she said, according to WWD. She added that anything that encourages community gatherings feels important right now.
Outlets that covered the appearance were quick to connect her look to her lifestyle. Hello! noted that she credits a healthy routine of daily juices, kale and green salads. She has also said she likes to eat six smaller meals a day instead of three larger ones, and that burgers are her favorite food to indulge in.
She previously shared that Pilates is her favorite workout because it helps relieve tension and build strength. She has not framed any of it as effortless. She has been candid about how hard it was to lose the weight she gained for a past role, saying her body did not respond the same way once she was older.
