‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’ Gets a First Teaser
A short teaser has just been released for The Punisher: One Last Kill, and even though it only lasts a few seconds, it is already getting attention from fans. The preview appears at the end of a trailer for Daredevil: Born Again, giving a quick look at The Punisher back in action.
Jon Bernthal is returning as the Punisher, and this will not be his only appearance. He is also set to show up in Spider-Man: Brand New Day later in the year. The Disney Plus special is expected to connect his story between his time in Daredevil: Born Again and his role in the Spider-Man film.

There are still not many details about the story. However, it has been revealed that Frank Castle will cross paths with Peter Parker. Tom Holland spoke about this and said, “I am so excited for people to see Jon Bernthal as the Punisher in this movie. He’s come from a very different world, you know, the R-rated kind of universe, and we’ve basically picked him up and plonked him into our world. And he absolutely sings in this movie. He is incredible.”
This project is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will connect with other films and shows in the franchise. It is being produced by Marvel Studios under its Marvel Television label. This marks another major appearance for the Punisher in the MCU, following the earlier series The Punisher, which originally streamed on Netflix.
The story focuses on Frank Castle trying to move on from his violent past. He wants to live without revenge, but things do not go as planned. He ends up getting pulled into a new conflict that forces him back into action.
After the original Punisher series ended in 2019, Bernthal came back to the role when he was cast in Daredevil: Born Again in 2023. During the production of that show, the idea for this special was developed. In early 2025, it was confirmed that Bernthal and Green were working together on the project with Marvel Studios.
Filming took place in New York City. Production started in mid-July and wrapped up in early August. The title of the special and its release date were officially revealed in March.
The Punisher: One Last Kill is set to premiere on May 12, on Disney+. It will arrive shortly after the second season of Daredevil: Born Again wraps up. After that, the character will return again on July 31 in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
