Tiffany & Co. has spent 2026 looking backward in the most glamorous way possible. Its Blue Book collection, titled Hidden Garden, reinterprets several of designer Jean Schlumberger’s most iconic pieces in new color combinations. The house also fronted its Valentine’s Day campaign with ambassador Adria Arjona in a cinematic short film.

That focus on heritage reached a new high this week in Paris. Tiffany teamed up with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs on a 4-year partnership to restore and digitize Schlumberger’s archive of more than 10,000 items, including 5,000 drawings and more than 5,000 documents, photographs and personal papers. It is a rare chance to see the sketches behind some of the jeweler’s most famous designs.

The launch came with a celebrity turnout during Paris Fashion Week, and Adria Arjona’s Tiffany & Co. Jean Schlumberger presentation appearance was among the most talked-about moments. Photos shared from the event show the actress in a black off-the-shoulder dress with a sweetheart neckline, styled with a gold necklace and her hair swept into a tousled updo. She posed in front of a navy backdrop bearing Schlumberger’s signature and handwritten script that reads “a pencil.”

Arjona was far from the only familiar face. Diane Kruger, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Greta Lee, Amanda Seyfried and Anya Taylor-Joy also attended the Tiffany & M.A.D. dinner, posing together in front of a backdrop reading “I am only a pencil.” Just Jared also reported that Cynthia Erivo was among the stars who helped celebrate the partnership.

The line is a nod to Schlumberger himself. WWD noted that the phrase was once said by the designer, who is best known for his decades-long collaboration with the American jeweler.

The dinner accompanied the launch of an immersive exhibition called ‘I Am Only a Pencil’, which was curated with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. It traces the journey from a simple stroke of graphite to a finished high jewelry masterpiece. The show pairs fragile historical works on paper with the physical treasures they inspired.

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts also contributed scientific expertise to the initiative. The presentation begins with Schlumberger’s original drawings and moves on to photographs and documents that reveal both his creative process and parts of his personal life.

Schlumberger’s connection to the house stretches back to the mid-1950s, and his work helped define Tiffany starting in 1956. His most famous creation is arguably Bird on a Rock, first designed in 1965. It remains one of the most recognizable pieces in the brand’s collection.

Decades after his death in 1987, his designs are still shaping how Tiffany approaches its most prestigious jewelry. At the 2025 Emmys, numerous stars wore his designs on the red carpet, and Schlumberger pieces also turned up at this year’s Golden Globes. This week’s Paris tribute is the latest proof that his work has real staying power.

The event is a natural fit for Arjona, who has been closely tied to the brand. She has previously worn Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. jewels on the red carpet, including a diamond and pink sapphire necklace and a stack of rings at a premiere last year. She has also shared Instagram posts featuring the Bird on a Rock pendant as part of her Tiffany partnership.

Her Valentine’s campaign role for the house earlier this year cemented the relationship. In it, she wore a HardWear by Tiffany graduated necklace with matching earrings, bracelet and watch, along with a Tiffany Setting engagement ring. That made her an easy choice for a night celebrating the house’s archive.

One notable detail is that the evening was built around Schlumberger’s archive rather than a new product launch. That marks a shift toward storytelling over straightforward promotion, and it shows how seriously Tiffany is investing in its design heritage. Events like this one give the brand a reason to gather actors of this caliber and keep the focus on craftsmanship.

For fans of red-carpet fashion, the images are a treat. Arjona’s laughing pose in one shot and her more serious profile in another show a relaxed, playful side, and the black dress lets the gold jewelry do the talking.

What do you think of Adria Arjona’s Tiffany & Co. look in Paris?
