Big things are happening in the world of The Witcher. Netflix’s popular fantasy series is coming to an end with its fifth and final season, and fans are already buzzing after new set leaks showed a large Northern Army camp being built for the final episodes.

The show was renewed for its last season in April 2024 while Season 4 was still filming. Season 4 is also notable for a major change — Liam Hemsworth will officially take over the role of Geralt of Rivia, replacing Henry Cavill. This change was first announced back in October 2022.

Filming for Season 4 started in April 2024 at Longcross Studios in the UK and wrapped in October the same year. Not long after, work on Season 5 began in March 2025. The final season is now in production, and fans are getting their first look at what’s to come through set leaks.

One of the biggest reveals so far is the large-scale Northern Army camp. This new set hints at a pretty expansive encampment. It’s not yet known what specific scenes are being filmed there, but the size and detail of the set have fans excited.

Alongside Liam Hemsworth, The Witcher Season 4 will also welcome new cast members including Laurence Fishburne as Regis, a fan-favorite character from the books and games.

Other new faces include Sharlto Copley, James Purefoy, Danny Woodburn, Linden Porco, Eve Ridley, and Clive Russell.

With a strong cast and a big final season in the works, The Witcher is gearing up for a dramatic ending that fans won’t want to miss.
