‘Thunderbolts*’ Trailer Confirms Lewis Pullman as the Powerful Hero Sentry
Deadpool and Wolverine have made a huge impact at the box office, signaling a strong return for the MCU. The cast of the upcoming Thunderbolts* movie will include several familiar faces from the MCU, such as David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr / Ghost, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov / Taskmaster, and Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova.
Additional characters will also make appearances, and one of the most intriguing is Lewis Pullman’s mysterious role as Bob Reynolds. Fans have long speculated about Bob’s true identity, with many believing Pullman is portraying Marvel’s immensely powerful superhero, Sentry — and the trailer has now confirmed it. Here it is:
As seen in the trailer, Lewis Pullman’s character introduces himself as Bob, and official sources confirm that he is, in fact, Sentry. Marvel fans will recognize that Sentry’s human alias is Robert “Bob” Reynolds.
Interestingly, Sentry’s appearance was confirmed early on, with Steve Yeun initially cast in the role. However, due to scheduling conflicts caused by the film’s delay, Yeun had to step down, and Pullman was brought in as his replacement.
It’s still unclear what role Sentry will play in the movie, but from the scene, it’s clear that his retrieval is no ordinary mission. While the overall plot remains a mystery, fans are eager to learn more as new details emerge.
