Timothée Chalamet recently opened up about his favorite project during a fun segment on Anthony Edwards’ YouTube show, the “Believe That Awards.”

Edwards, the Minnesota Timberwolves star, created the awards to highlight notable personalities, and he named Chalamet as the very first “White Boy of the Year.” The actor couldn’t stop laughing during the lighthearted presentation.

At the end of the interview, Edwards also tried to give a shoutout to Liam Neeson, jokingly mispronouncing the actor’s name, which had everyone laughing.

During their conversation, Chalamet talked about his acting career and singled out his upcoming movie Marty Supreme as the project he’s most proud of. He described it as “maybe the project I’m most proud of” and called it “the best thing I’ve been in,” according to People.

Marty Supreme is a sports comedy-drama set in 1950s New York. The story follows ping pong star Marty Mauser, played by Chalamet, as he faces challenges on his way to greatness.

The film is produced and directed by Josh Safdie, who co-wrote it with Ronald Bronstein. It also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher.

The movie had a surprise premiere at the New York Film Festival on October 6, and is scheduled for a wide release in the United States by A24 on December 25. Internationally, Nordisk Film will distribute the film in Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden.

Chalamet’s enthusiasm for the project reflects how much this film means to him, not just as an actor but also as a producer. Marty Supreme promises to be a mix of drama, comedy, and sports history, capturing the spirit of Marty Reisman’s journey through table tennis fame.
