Tina Fey and Friends Head to Italy in New ‘The Four Seasons’ Season 2 Trailer
Netflix has released the official trailer for season 2 of “The Four Seasons,” and it shows the group of friends heading overseas for a new chapter in their story.
The new season follows the same group of longtime friends as they continue their tradition of taking vacations together. This time, their trip takes them to Europe, with Italy as one of the main locations. The change in setting comes after a difficult year for the group, including the loss of a close friend, which is still affecting everyone emotionally.
The story continues with Kate, Jack, Anne, Danny, Claude, and Ginny. The main cast includes Tina Fey, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Colman Domingo, Marco Calvani, and Erika Henningsen. The show follows how their friendships evolve as they deal with personal struggles while trying to stay connected.
The series was created by Tina Fey along with Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield. It originally introduced the group of six friends as they went on multiple trips over the course of a year. In season 1, their relationships were shaken when one couple in the group announced a breakup, which caused tension across the friendships and brought old issues back to the surface.
In the upcoming season, the group continues their vacation tradition, but now there is also a baby in the mix. Their travels take them from familiar places like the Jersey Shore and upstate New York to new destinations in Italy. The shift in location brings both fun moments and emotional challenges as they deal with grief and changes in their lives.
Netflix describes the new season as a continuation of the show’s focus on long-term friendships, showing both the funny and difficult sides of staying close to people over many years. The characters are expected to face new situations that test their bonds, while still keeping the same mix of humor and emotional storytelling.
Production on the series is handled by Universal Television for Netflix. Tina Fey is also involved behind the scenes as an executive producer, along with Lang Fisher, Tracey Wigfield, Jeff Richmond, Eric Gurian, and David Miner. Alan Alda and Marissa Bregman are also listed as producers.
The series will return for its second season on May 28, and the trailer is now available to watch through Netflix’s official channels.
This show works best because it focuses on realistic friendships and how people change over time. Moving the story to Italy also feels like a natural way to refresh things while keeping the same characters.
