Craig Brewer is writing, directing, and co-producing the movie. According to Focus Features, the film stars Hugh Jackman as Mike Sardina and Kate Hudson as Claire Sardina, a pair of struggling musicians who found fame performing as a Neil Diamond tribute band called “Lightning & Thunder.”

The cast also includes Michael Imperioli, Fisher Stevens, Jim Belushi, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, Erika Slezak, Hudson Hilbert Hensley, and Sean Allan Krill. Brewer announced the project in October 2024, revealing that filming would take place in New Jersey.

Principal photography began on October 14, 2024, in Monmouth County. Another important location for the movie was a house in Old Tappan, New Jersey. Filming wrapped up on December 11, 2024.
