Trump Claims Seth Meyers’ Anti-Trump Jokes Are “Probably Illegal”
President Donald Trump has once again criticized a late-night TV host, this time targeting Seth Meyers of NBC’s Late Night.
The dispute appears to follow a recent segment of Meyers’ show, A Closer Look, in which he mocked Trump’s remarks about steam catapults on aircraft carriers.
This is the Seth Meyers clip Donald Trump just had a meltdown over on Truth Social where Seth brutally mocks Trump’s insane rant about steam powered catapults. Trump REALLY doesn’t want people to see this so whatever you do please do NOT share this video! pic.twitter.com/APvamZhzR5

Trump took to TruthSocial to share his frustration, writing, “Seth Meyers of NBC may be the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television. In fact, he may be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise. I watched his show the other night for the first time in years. In it he talked endlessly about electric catapults on aircraft carriers which I complain about as not being as good as much less expensive steam catapults. On and on he went, a truly deranged lunatic. Why does NBC waste its time and money on a guy like this??? – NO TALENT, NO RATINGS, 100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!”

The latest clash comes about a month after Trump and his supporters focused their criticism on Jimmy Kimmel, boosting the ratings of Jimmy Kimmel Live! when the host returned after a brief break. Trump also appears to mistakenly believe that Meyers’ show is broadcast live, when in reality it is pre-recorded.
This isn’t the first time Trump has criticized Meyers. He previously called the host a “dope” and referred to him as “marble mouth” earlier this year.
Trump’s repeated attacks on late-night hosts seem more about stirring controversy than genuine concern over television commentary. Satire has always been a part of late-night TV, and targeting hosts for mocking political figures isn’t new. What do you think about Trump’s comments on Meyers?
