Emily in Paris is expanding its world again, with Netflix confirming two new filming locations for its upcoming sixth season. Production is set to begin in May, and the series will now also film in Greece and Monaco.

The news was first reported by Variety and later confirmed by Netflix to PEOPLE. The new destinations add to a long list of international filming spots the show has already used over the years, including Paris, Rome, Venice, Saint-Tropez, and Megève.

The series has become one of Netflix’s biggest global hits. Season 5 performed strongly after its release in December 2025, reaching around 26.8 million views in just 11 days. It also entered the top 10 in 91 countries and reached number one in 24 of them, including France.

The story follows Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, an American marketing worker who moves to Paris for a job and tries to balance work, relationships, and life in a new culture. Over time, her story has expanded across multiple European cities.

While Netflix has not revealed full plot details for season 6, the new locations give hints about where the story may go next. In the season 5 finale, Emily’s relationship storyline was left open, with a possible connection to a Greek trip teased through a postcard from Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo.

The series creator, Darren Star, has previously spoken about the direction of the show. He told Tudum, “This season is a tale of two cities. Rome and Paris.” He also said, “Straddling both, Emily takes love and life to the next level.”

Cast member Ashley Park, who plays Mindy, has also talked about filming in multiple cities. She described it as a rare experience and said working in places like Venice felt very special.

Emily in Paris has continued to grow since its debut in 2020. Each new season has added new locations, new characters, and bigger storylines. It has also been renewed multiple times due to strong global viewing numbers.

Moving the story to Greece and Monaco is a smart way to keep the series fresh. The locations are a big part of the show’s appeal, and fans clearly enjoy the travel element. What do you think about this change? Should the show keep expanding to new countries or stay focused on Paris? Share your thoughts in the comments.
