[Video] Anne Hathaway Puts Paparazzi in Check on ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Set
Anne Hathaway recently showed her calm and collected side while filming The Devil Wears Prada 2 in New York City.
A video shared by People on Instagram captured the 41-year-old actress addressing a group of paparazzi who were arguing loudly near the set. Hathaway, keeping her tone steady, reminded them, “You guys have got to relax. There are children on set today. Does everyone know that there are children on set? So everyone is going to relax, and we’re going to have a very nice day because we have children here. Thank you.”
After speaking, she smiled and returned to filming, earning praise from fans online.
Fans quickly reacted on social media, referencing her iconic role in The Princess Diaries and applauding her for handling the situation with maturity. One user wrote, “I love Anne!! When they say use your inside voice, this is what they mean!” Another commented, “That’s not a confrontation, that’s being a human and reminding others that they’re also human.”
This isn’t the first time Hathaway has made headlines while filming the sequel. Earlier in the month, she was seen stumbling on a staircase during a scene but managed to hold onto her bagel and laugh it off, telling nearby crew, “I’m fine!” She quickly got back into character, and fans found the moment endearing.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026. Directed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna, the film continues the story from the 2006 original and is based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns.
Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms, and Tibor Feldman all reprise their roles, while Kenneth Branagh joins as Miranda Priestly’s new husband. Other cast members include Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, and Sydney Sweeney.
Hathaway’s calm handling of the paparazzi situation shows her professionalism and patience on set. It’s a reminder that even in high-pressure environments, staying composed can make a big difference. What do you think about her response? Share your thoughts in the comments.
