Justin and Hailey Bieber made a highly anticipated return to the Grammy Awards this week, marking their first joint appearance at the event in four years.

While their synchronized arrival on the red carpet delighted fans, it was their separate departures from a star-studded after-party that quickly set social media ablaze with speculation. The 31-year-old singer and the Rhode founder appeared to have different plans once the official ceremony at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena concluded.

Hailey was spotted leaving the venue alone in a luxury SUV, while Justin opted to continue the festivities late into the night. Photos and videos circulating online showed the Canadian pop star boarding a large van with a group of friends, including several unidentified women. Despite the immediate rumors of marital friction, many fans were quick to offer a more grounded explanation for the couple’s split exit.

Hailey probably went home to their son to let JB have his moment, one user suggested on social media, referring to the couple’s 18-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber. Others echoed this sentiment, reminding the public that Justin had been keeping a low profile for months and likely wanted to enjoy a rare night out. Chill, bro, he’s just hanging out with his friends, another supporter noted in response to the viral clips.

Justin’s night was a mix of high-energy performance and a tough run in the awards categories. He took to the stage to perform “Yukon,” one of the hits from his seventh studio album, Swag.

In a daring move, the singer performed largely undressed, wearing only satin boxers and socks, which fully displayed his extensive tattoo collection. During this set, fans noticed a significant new addition: a detailed portrait of Hailey’s face inked on his back.

Hailey remained her husband’s biggest cheerleader throughout the evening, regardless of how the night ended. She shared a photo of him on Instagram with the caption, That’s my baby, showing her pride in his first major televised performance in years. This public display of affection served as a direct counter-narrative to the rumors of trouble brewing behind the scenes.

The night was bittersweet for the singer professionally, as he entered the ceremony with four major nominations. His album Swag was up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, while “Daisies” and “Yukon” were nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best R&B Performance, respectively. Ultimately, the pop star left empty-handed, but his presence alone signaled a major comeback for his music career.

Aside from his music, Justin has been focusing heavily on his new fashion brand, SKYLRK, which he co-founded with Neima Khaila. The brand recently made waves by launching its first 3D-printed shoes, a project Hailey has reportedly helped design.

The couple’s business ventures continue to grow, with Hailey’s beauty brand, Rhode, also preparing to launch a new line of barrier-protecting face masks later this month.

Do you think Justin’s decision to perform in his boxers was a bold artistic choice or just a bit too much for the Grammy stage in the comments?
