Vince Gilligan, the creator behind Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is back with a brand-new sci-fi show for Apple TV+ called Pluribus, and people are already buzzing about it. Apple has only shared a very short and strange plot description, saying, “The most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness.” The trailers are quick and creepy, giving fans just a taste of the eerie world the show will explore.

Bob Odenkirk, who played Saul Goodman on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, said he’s already impressed and thinks the series will be huge.

He told The Hollywood Reporter, “I don’t know a damn thing. But I know it’s going to be massive. Massive! It’s going to be the biggest thing, well, since sliced bread, but really since Game of Thrones. You probably know what’s biggest [lately], but probably since Severance. I know Severance, in its way, is a big, big effort. So I think that [Pluribus] is going to be the next big show, and I can’t wait.”

Pluribus, written as PLUR1BUS, stars Rhea Seehorn in the lead role as Carol. She previously worked with Gilligan on Better Call Saul. Karolina Wydra joins the cast as Zosia, and Carlos Manuel Vesga plays Manusos. Guest stars include Miriam Shor and Samba Schutte.

After finishing Better Call Saul, Gilligan pitched the series in August 2022 with Sony Pictures Television. Apple TV+ picked it up the next month, giving it a two-season order. Gilligan is the showrunner and executive producer.

Writing for the first season was delayed because of the 2023 WGA strike, but the team finished the last two episodes in October 2023. Filming started in February 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, under the working title Wycaro 339, and wrapped in September 2024. The official title, Pluribus, and the release date were announced in July 2025.

The series will premiere its first two episodes on Apple TV+ on November 7, 2025, with new episodes dropping every Friday until December 26. With Vince Gilligan behind it and Bob Odenkirk hyped up, fans are expecting Pluribus to be the next big TV event, possibly on the scale of Game of Thrones.
