Apple TV+ has released the first full trailer for PLURIBUS, a new science fiction drama from Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. The series stars Rhea Seehorn, who previously worked with Gilligan on Better Call Saul, in the lead role.

Set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, PLURIBUS follows an author who appears to be the only person unaffected by a new virus that makes everyone it infects endlessly happy and optimistic.

The cast also includes Karolina Wydra as Zosia, Carlos Manuel Vesga as Manusos, and guest appearances from Miriam Shor, Samba Schutte, and Peter Bergman.

The series was first pitched by Gilligan in August 2022 after finishing Better Call Saul. Apple TV+ quickly secured the show the next month, ordering two seasons and naming Gilligan as showrunner and executive producer.

Rhea Seehorn was cast as the lead from the beginning. Production faced delays due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike but finally began filming in February 2024 in Albuquerque under the working title Wycaro 339. Filming wrapped in September 2024 after seven months. Karolina Wydra joined the cast in March 2024, and the official title, PLURIBUS, was announced in July.

PLURIBUS is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on November 7, with the first two episodes released together. New episodes will follow weekly on Fridays until December 26. Fans have already reacted enthusiastically to the first full trailer, which gives a glimpse of the show’s unique sci-fi world and mysterious premise.

With Vince Gilligan at the helm and Rhea Seehorn leading the cast, expectations are high. The combination of Gilligan’s storytelling and a suspenseful, sci-fi plot makes PLURIBUS one of the most anticipated series of 2025.

The series could easily become a major hit for Apple TV+, and fans will be watching closely to see if it lives up to the excitement generated by the trailer.
