A disturbing image of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen has gone viral on social media, causing confusion and concern among fans. According to Cybernews, the photo is a fake advertisement for Louis Vuitton created using AI, known as a deepfake. The image shows the Olsen twins wearing elaborate gold jewelry and Louis Vuitton earrings, but many noticed that their eyes appear unnaturally wide and their fingers are strangely elongated.

The post on X has racked up nearly three million views. Fans quickly shared their reactions. One wrote, “This is going to give me nightmares.” Another asked, “What is wrong with their hands?” Many compared the twins’ distorted features to Gollum from Lord of the Rings or described them as looking like old fortune tellers.

“One looks like she’s going to tell you when you’ll die, and the other how,” commented another user. Some blamed the strange appearance on the effects of the weight loss drug Ozempic, writing, “Highlighting ‘Ozempic hands’ as if anyone would notice an engagement ring is a bit much, but who knows what these poor women went through in childhood.”

Despite the unsettling appearance, many quickly realized the image was not real. Several users pointed out AI mistakes, with one noting, “The AI forgot to add eyebrows.” Others used AI verification tools, like Grok, to check the authenticity of the photo. Rumors spread that the image was from a Christmas photoshoot, but neither the Olsen sisters nor Louis Vuitton confirmed any collaboration, further proving it was a fake campaign.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen rose to fame as child stars in the hit TV series Full House. Today, they live very private lives and rarely appear in public. Both sisters now run a successful fashion brand, The Row, which last showed a collection in Paris in 2025. Last year, they were spotted at their New York store, staying out of the public spotlight.

It’s clear that AI technology can create images that seem real but are entirely fictional. While this image grabbed attention, it also highlights the dangers of deepfake media and how easily misinformation can spread online.

While AI can be impressive, using it to create fake images of real people crosses a line. It can harm reputations and confuse fans. What do you think about AI deepfakes like this? Share your thoughts in the comments.
