[Watch] ‘Fallout’ Season 2 Trailer Brings Deathclaw Terror, Mr. House, and New Vegas Showdown
The wait is over. Fallout season 2 has dropped its first trailer during Opening Night Live 2025, and Amazon finally confirmed when fans can watch it. The series returns on December 17, 2025.
The new season moves the action to New Vegas, one of the most iconic settings in the Fallout universe. Walton Goggins is back as the Ghoul, and Ella Purnell returns as Lucy. This time, their paths lead them straight to the Strip, where Lucy’s father Hank, played by Kyle MacLachlan, has taken a powerful position.

Maximus, played by Aaron Moten, shows up in a new Brotherhood of Steel outfit while his faction readies itself for a fight. The trailer also flashes back to the world before the bombs. Goggins’ character Cooper Howard visits pre-war New Vegas and steps inside the Lucky 38 casino, owned by the mysterious Mr. House. This is the first time we see Justin Theroux in the role. It looks like Cooper and Mr. House may clash before the end of the world, with hints that the truth about the nuclear war might finally come out.
Fans also got a quick glimpse of a Deathclaw, the massive monster that has haunted Fallout players for years. It’s only a tease, but it shows that season 2 isn’t holding back when it comes to wasteland dangers.
Speaking live on stage at gamescom, Ella Purnell talked about Lucy’s story this season. “The question is, what is she going to do when she finds her dad? Is she going to give him wasteland justice? Will Lucy transform the Ghoul, or will the Ghoul transform Lucy?”

The first season of Fallout premiered on Prime Video on April 10, 2024, and it was praised for its cast, production design, and respect for the games. The show was quickly renewed, and Amazon even announced a third season before season 2 had aired. Fallout also picked up 17 Emmy nominations, including one for Walton Goggins.
Now, with New Vegas at the center of the story, Fallout season 2 is ready to push its characters into even bigger conflicts. Lucy is searching for the truth about her father and Vault-Tec, Maximus is preparing for war, and the Ghoul is continuing his long and dangerous journey across the wasteland.
