Hilary Duff created a magical moment for fans during the first night of her Las Vegas residency on Friday, February 13. The 38-year-old singer and actress took the stage at Voltaire in The Venetian Resort for her highly anticipated run, which coincides with her ongoing comeback in music and live performance.

During the show, Hilary performed her hit With Love, a song that often brings fans on stage to join in the choreography. This night, she had something extra planned. Midway through the set, after performing Dignity, she invited two fans on stage for the usual dance routine. But then, she paused and said, Um, just one second, before handing the microphone to one of the fans.

The crowd erupted as the fan got down on one knee and proposed to his boyfriend. Red confetti fell from the ceiling as Hilary joined in for a hug with the couple. After the ring was placed on the fan’s hand, the pair shared a kiss, sealing the engagement in front of a cheering audience.

“This was such a special night,” Hilary said later, clearly delighted by the surprise moment. Fans in attendance were thrilled, with many calling it one of the most memorable moments of her residency.

The Las Vegas shows are part of Hilary’s Small Rooms, Big Nerves intimate tour, marking her first headlining series of concerts in over ten years. She has five more performances at Voltaire scheduled, including a sold-out Valentine’s Day show and three dates in May.

The residency comes ahead of her sixth studio album, luck… or something, set to release on February 20. This album is her first full-length project since 2015’s Breathe In. Breathe Out. and includes previously released singles Mature and Roommates. Hilary has said the album reflects her journey through adulthood, motherhood, and her connection with fans who have supported her since her Lizzie McGuire days.

She has also announced a worldwide trek, the Lucky Me World Tour, starting June 22 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The tour will cover seven countries, with stops in the UK, Australia, and Mexico, featuring special guests like La Roux. A documentary series directed by Sam Wrench will follow the making of the tour and her return to the global stage.

Hilary Duff’s Vegas residency and upcoming world tour highlight her ongoing resurgence in music and live performance. This fan proposal moment shows she’s still focused on connecting with her audience in personal and unforgettable ways.

I think moments like this prove Hilary still has a special place in pop culture and her fans’ hearts. Do you agree that 2000s pop icons like Hilary are making the ultimate comeback in 2026? Share your thoughts in the comments.
