Paramount+ has released the trailer for the third season of Tulsa King, and it gives fans their first look at Samuel L. Jackson joining the show. The crime drama, led by Sylvester Stallone, returns on September 21.

The trailer begins with Dwight “The General” Manfredi, played by Stallone, facing a new challenge. He is approached by Special Agent Musso, played by Kevin Pollak.

“What do you want from me?” Dwight asks, to which Musso replies, “I own you, General.” From there, the preview teases new faces and new dangers, including Robert Patrick as Jeremiah Dunmire, the ruthless leader of the Dunmire family.

Jackson appears at the end of the trailer, sitting at a bar as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a character that will also lead his own spinoff, NOLA King. Looking at Dwight, he delivers the line: “A lot of ghosts? Well, I bet ain’t nobody seen that coming.” According to Paramount, this marks the start of a multi-episode story arc that sets up Jackson’s role in the upcoming spinoff.

The series has followed Stallone’s Dwight since his release from prison, after serving 25 years. Sent to Tulsa by his New York crime family, Dwight built a new crew of unlikely allies and tried to create his own criminal empire far away from home. In the first two seasons, he found both opportunity and trouble in Tulsa, crossing paths with rivals who challenged his control.

Season three raises the stakes even higher. As Dwight’s empire grows, so do his enemies. This time, he finds himself up against the powerful Dunmire family, described as old money with no respect for the traditional mob rules. Dwight must fight to keep everything he has built and protect those closest to him.

Alongside Stallone and Jackson, the season features returning cast members like Martin Starr, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, and Frank Grillo. New faces include Bella Heathcoate as Cleo Montague, Beau Knapp as Cole Dunmire, and James Russo as Quiet Ray Renzetti.

Paramount+ says Tulsa King remains its biggest original series. Season two pulled in more than 21 million viewers worldwide for its premiere episode, setting a record for the streaming service at the time.

Meanwhile, Jackson will headline NOLA King, the official spinoff set in New Orleans. The show is produced by 101 Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios and is expected to begin filming in early 2026.
