Season 4 of “The White Lotus” is expected to take the popular HBO series to France, according to Variety. While the network has not officially confirmed the location, sources say the production is already looking at luxury spots in Paris and along the French Riviera.

The new season will likely focus mainly on the South of France, with a smaller storyline set in Paris.

Filming is still in the planning stages and is not expected to start until next year. Unlike previous seasons, which were set in Four Seasons hotels in Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand, this season will feature different luxury hotels since HBO no longer has a marketing deal with the chain.

In Paris, two high-end hotels are being considered. One is Le Lutetia, a five-star property on the Left Bank in Saint-Germain des Pres. Opened in 1910, it has hosted famous figures like Charlie Chaplin, Pablo Picasso, and Ernest Hemingway.

Another option is the Ritz Paris, another historic five-star hotel that has welcomed guests such as Coco Chanel, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Marcel Proust.

Mike White, the creator of the series, teased the season in a clip that aired after the Season 3 finale. “For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular. But there’s always more room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels,” he said. Filming locations along the French Riviera that fit this description include Monaco and Nice.

Like past seasons, the show will feature a mix of American and French actors. Some characters may return, including Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge), Greg (Jon Gries), and Belinda (Natasha Rothwell). There is also a chance that Charlotte LeBon, who plays Chloé, will come back in Season 4.

Moving the show to France is an exciting choice. The mix of Paris and the Riviera could give the series a fresh feel while keeping the luxury hotel drama fans love. What do you think about “The White Lotus” going to France? Share your thoughts in the comments.
